Average 50 year old vines from multiple vineyards with two types of soil: limestone and rocky marl. Native yeast fermentation and aging in 500 liter barrels with only 10% new. 15 months on lees without battonage. Lightly filtered before bottling. Shy nose at first, Nose with mineral, oak spice and touch of floral. Quite pretty palate. Good acid. Honey. Apple. Medium body. Some oak spice. Lots of savory minerality. More fruit with time. It becomes more expansive as it was tight and concentrated at first.

Nicely matured but nothing particularly interesting or special here. Acidity was muted but there wasn't much premox, which was good. Drink now or yesterday.

Not thrilled with this wine. May have been when we had it relative to the other wines or the food we had before it (thai food). Decent enough with some apples and mineral notes but had a sour acidity that was very off putting for me. Hopefully will get to try again, as my impression of this wine doesn't match others.

More sour than I remember. It was moderately refreshing.
