My lone 2013 and this was terrific. Bill and Gavin did a wonderful job with these and wish I had bought more when they became available. Cherry, spice box, and a seductive nose that got better in the glass. I really enjoyed this bottling tonight.

Prior bottle was 11 months ago and my notes remain consistent. Black raspberry, black cherry, vanilla, earth and spices on the nose. Between medium and full bodied with the same combination of rounded black cherry and more forward black raspberry as my prior bottle showed. Lightly tart black cherry along with spices and a balanced mix of tannins and acidity on the back and through the finish. The transition from mid-body to finish was a little better integrated than my prior bottle and the spice notes in general were a bit better balanced. As with the prior bottle and in keeping with what other reviewers have noted, this wine is a bit more fruit forward and fruit-centric than is typical for Lutum pinot noirs. Within its own style, it does have balance and is certainly showing quite well at present. I enjoyed it, but wouldn't consider it typical of Lutum.

Agree w/ARPERRY assessment, nice silky texture with solid cherry-raspberry core, touch of vanilla spice and minerality on finish. Could see modest improvement over 1 - 2 years, 90-91+ and solid QPR here.

In a nice place. One warning - my cork was pretty soft so be careful/use a Durand to open.
