  • Medium crimson in color with slight cloudiness, this wine reveals Kirsch, anise, espresso and raw cocoa on the nose. The mouth feel is fuller bodied with dried cherry, raspberry and raisin undertones. The finish is relatively long with the dried red fruits and anise elements in good harmony with the acidity and tannins. 13.5% abv.

Purchased for $38US, this was a gorgeous offering that continued to evolve over the 90 minutes it was open at a local Italian BYOB. I wish I had bought more of the offering.

Imported by Porto Vino, Buffalo, NY.
