  • Fragrance of cherries and violets. Taste of violets, black cherries, plum, and cocoa. There is a light minerality and a hint of spice. It is not the most complex Amarone we have had but it is lovely, like chocolate covered cherries. Medium finish. Delicious with lasagna! Amazing with Amedei Porcelana chocolate, like an orgasm on your tongue.

  • Recommend decanting ~1hr. Paired well with Italian cuisine: meatball, veal chop, pasta.

  • Openned this after it arrived and had been in transit for several days. I have a few more bottles that will sit a while so this one may have a bit of bottle shock in it. This wine really settled and opened in about an hour. I have a feeling in 5 more or so it will be peaking out of the bottle. Very pretty Amarone. Moderate depth, ruby translucence. Not as heavily raisined as some. Theres a marzipan bouquet underlying plum and a bit of black cherry but sweet, not tart cherry. Moderate Consistency. Palate follows the nose. Now that it has been open an hour it is very smooth. Balance is great. Moderate acidity and tannins. This is opening really nicely and I think is a great find.
