  Colour was a deep ruby red, slightly fluid at the rim. Nose is very fruity, with lots of cherry, raspberry and cranberry. Some earth and firm, nutty and smoky oak in support. The palate is medium bodied, with an array of fruit flavours and vanilla, spice and char from the oak. The palate is firm and dry, the after taste being rather woody. At this stage, the oak is quite powerful and needs to soften a little more but the fruit is vibrant and tasty.
