  Pale-medium(-) ruby, rather fast-moving legs @ 13.7% abv. Medium aromas of red berry, oak influence, leather, flint. Dry, medium(+)-high acidity, low tannin, medium alcohol and body. Medium palate, of strawberry, red berries, chocolate, leather notes, kirsch, some notes of pepper/sweet spice. Crisp texture, balanced, despite apparent low tannin gripping structure. Elegant, with complex finish: savory first than sweetness peeks through which is balanced by almost tart acidity.
  Well crafted.

  Retail $55. Eucalyptus a go-go. Holy goodness. Plenty of tart cherry and a hint of earth. OK. Whoa. On the palate this is the best of a couple of worlds: the fruit of California, but the soul of Burgundy. This is unmistakably a Cali Pinot, but it crosses many borders. I would like to hold on to this for a while, but now? Yes! Outstanding. 92-94 points.
