  • Kaffir lime, kumquat, white pepper and brioche on the nose, holding promise. Nice chalky minerality, medium body and length , good orange citrus skin through the finish. Buttery oak is obvious, but not overwhelming . Acidity is ok, and there’s a hint of saline manzanilla as the finish begins. Lime and crushed shells. Commune’s top vineyard but presents more like a fine entry level 1er cru Meursault, very nice with seared scallop and asparagus risotto, but I’m glad we had champagne available for the oysters. Drink before 2025.
