Community Tasting Notes (1) Avg Score: 90 points

  • Old Beauties Dinner: At first, this had one of the most brilliant aromas I've ever come across in Burgundy. The fruit was so bright and cool. Lots of airy florals, pomegranate, cranberry with undertones of earth. The palate was bright and full of life. Acidity was really zipping around. Unfortunately, the wine slid downhill quite quickly. The earthiness transitioned into a strong soy, and tea flavor. Gave it a 90 based on the initial impact it had on me...just wish it had been able to hang onto its brightness for longer.

FWIW, this was a negotiant bottle. Unsure whether I entered this correctly into CT. Happy to edit if anyone has any guidance.
