Albariño (a.k.a Alvarinho) is a Portuguese variety, comparable to a Pinot Gris. Served at 8c/46f to accompany Salmon filets. Pale yellow in the glass and light-bodied, abv is 12.0%. Not much discernible in the nose and a rather bland taste of citrus/melon & mineral; not very complex. Acidic. Short, slightly bitter aftertaste. Would not go out of my way to purchase again, but pleasant enough for casual sipping. 81 pts.
