Celebrating Again! (Ngaio, Wellington, New Zealand): Richly textured, very botrytis influenced. The Gewurtztraminer varietal expression is there if you look for them, but very much in the background of the botrytis. Beautiful texture, and absolutely mature. It will endure, but I believe it is at, or slightly past its peak. Great length, beautiful style, but while clearly an outstanding wine, is not a transfixing experience.

Pre-AWE Festival dinner (Wanaka Wedge House, Queensberry, Central Otago, New Zealand): Drinking at its plateau of excellence, but this should last at ,east another decade, on its sugar, and acid structure. So rich, creamy, and redolent of botrytis, but the rose petal lychee notes of the Gewurztraminer add both clarity, recognition, and also a touch of exoticism.

Addictive, sweet but has a great acidity to balance.
Aromas of quince, orange and honey.
Great with cheese, raspberry tart or simply with a cigar.

Similar notes as 3 months ago.
Fantastic sticky and perfect with (blue) cheeses, and/or to finish a dinner.
Again, fresh and long finish.
