Light golden color. Medium to full body. Medium acidity.
Cool scents of menthol, green tea, ginger, elderflower, and petrol. Fruit is ripe pear, followed by apricot jam and orange marmalade. Finishes with black tea and spices. Rich texture. Strong salinity. Subtle and elegant sweetness.
Cool, unique and intriguing.

Five years since my last bottle, and can basically copy that note: ‘Quite rich with a mix of tropical fruit and petrol notes. Sappy and long, this is enjoyable to drink, but not as a food (non-dessert) wine.’ Now well into its secondary development, but moving at a glacial pace. Nice wine.

Lots of ginger and orange in the nose and mouth, medium-weight, Saar firmness still, smooth, excellent sugar/acid balance and not too sweet -- good match for cod marinated in soy, ginger, etc. and vegetables. Cellared since original release.

(Bert Simon Serriger Wurtzberg Auslese) Confectionary nose of brown sugar and ripe red and stone fruits. Outrageous palate with so much peach fruit it just seems unfair.
