Back down here in Florida for another season, my merchant still has a few of these on the shelf. More deeply colored, a year has given it a little character. Nice for $14 still.

Couldn’t disagree more with the other note. No distinct ripeness, just very fresh and crisp natural chard fruit and minerality. No similarity to new world oak-abused awkwardness. Chablis-like in a basic way. Spending six weeks in Florida and missing my cellar, I’m getting by with some modest wines. Currently enjoying similarly priced yet very different wines: this one from Jadot and the ‘15 Drouhin St Veran. Both quite good at $14.

Surprisingly ripe fruit -- glycerol in mouth feel -- OK acid. If tasted blind I would have thought it a new world Chard, not at all like a Jadot Macon tasted recently. Screw top as well!
