On the nose- Dark blueberries, cassis, black currant, dark cherries, red flowers, raspberry, black tea, leather, green olive, dark forest floor, eucalyptus
On the palate- Dark bluberries and cassis, black currant and dark cherries, red flowers and raspberry, black tea and a bit of leather, green olive and dark forest floor, and a bit of eucalyptus, this wine is drinking amazing right now with about an hour of decant time, the finish is smooth and the tannins are smoft and silky at this stage, I see this wine drinking well over the next 5-7 years if not longer, and would go killer with any big game dish or read meat dish or pasta

If I had it to do over again I would have decanted for two hours. Before that point there was a funkiness that was dominating. After that, it was really nice.

Very nice syrah. After a 30 minute decant we tasted some soft blueberry notes. After an hour, deeper black cherry and meat began to fill in with a good balance of acid. Will wait another year for our next bottle.

I’m not going to try to beat winegeek’s excellent note which matches my impressions of this wine.

See notes for previous bottle. Wonderful stuff - even if a bit young and primary.
