As value priced, grocery store, California Pinot goes, this is a tasty little number. Very little of the aroma and flavor profile seems commercial and manipulated. True Pinot type barnyard meets cloves on the nose. Just the right amount of mild Pinot funk with the mostly red fruit on the palate. Darker color than expected. Typical thin skinned grape slightly more than medium bodied mouth feel. A hint of oak which probably did not come from barrels. Reasonably concentrated. Smooth, mild red fruit finish.

Ok --this starts sweet ...and for the price ( amazingly $5.99 in Ralphs in Carlsbad, CA ) I could live with it as an 83 ...but the next day the Dr. Pepper sweetness blows off and OMG ...what a value for a Pinot

Decent Pinot given the price. Fine for Midweek mealtimes. Good body, very accessible with okay vanilla and berries. Dark, thin. Not too seeet.

IMHO, overblown and way too much residual sugar - I could barely recognise the charcteristics I would associate with a pinot noir.
