I love Tablas Creek wines. With that said, this Cab may be the weakest of what I have had fro this awesome vineyard. Maybe we opened it a little young, but even letting it breathe for over an hour it change significantly.
On the nose you get a distinct peppery scent with dark fruit undertones. On the palette, it is nothing distinctive. There is nothing big about this wine. It does taste as being young or thin. For some reason this is a finishing taste that is a bit acidic, which is very unlike Tablas wines.
While this wine is fine, there are others that are as good or better. Definitely not representative of the incredible wines Tablas usually put out. Them bottling Cab is not a usual thing for them.
