Dark and dense without being heavy or muddled. Fragrant with luscious and forward boysenberry and juniper and dark cherry flavors. Tannins mild now, quite smooth and plush, rather like a Napa Valley floor Cabernet, as opposed to a tightly wound Napa hillside Cabernet. Feminine fragrance and athletic structure in a very appealing package. Quite different from the bulk of Malbecs from Argentina. More supple and Bordeaux like. Drink now with a long decant or cellar to follow its trek. Cork in excellent condition for cellaring. 2020 to 2026.

Decanted for about an hour, drank over two. Deep purple color, almost electric. Surprisingly tight after the hourlong decant, but opened nicely after about an hour in glass. There's a rich, powerful core, as others have noted, but the wine remains so fresh, with a lively, bright, mouth watering acidity. The fruits are purple: blueberry, blackberry, boysenberry. There's also a firm minerality, dark spice, licorice, a bit of cocoa, and oversteeped black tea from the tannins. The 2013 vintage in Napa was quite structured, and it really comes through here. I have one bottle left, which I won't open for at least five years, perhaps 10. Paired nicely with roast chicken.

Fairly intense... meaty initially then dark purple fruits. Dark florals, hints of licorice and spice. Medium+ acid & tannins. Drinking well now with a bit of air but this has lots of life left, no rush.

Wonderful purple color, tannins still very present but balanced by the fruit and acid.

No detailed notes, just a great memory, paired very well with hamburgers topped with blue cheese
