Color: Light golden hues. Nose: granny smith apples and baker's yeast. Flavor: White peach and apple tart immediately hit the palette, closely followed by some spice, wet slate, and baker's yeast. The nose and forward palette are very similar. By the middle, some acidity takes over, further pronouncing the apple characteristics of the bottle. The acidity isn't overwhelming, and follows through into a light and lingering finish.
This Willowcroft wine club exclusive is a white blend that is kept secret by the staff and wine maker. Rather unusual relative to other dry, semi-acidic whites that you can get from the region. Very enjoyable and at a good price. Drink or hold.
