This had intriguing aromas of almonds, white fruit and anise. Wonderful creamy texture in the mouth, with no apparent oak. Probably the best verdiccio I have had.

Terroir-istes International - Italy, Southern Whites (Durbanville - with Christmas Party): (Tasted Blind): A mid-yellow to light gold colour. Ripe stone fruits and red apple towards toffee apple intersperse Meyer lemon, mineral, fynbos honey and celery salt. A ripe entry with flavours of strawberry emerging, again that bitter almond and cling peach, but this time more flesh and the wine feels more assertive. This is helped on its way with a mineral-edged acidity, a citrus and dry stone quality and brightness that all give a pleasant contrast. Fair finish; there is some age being revealed with the honey, but it hanging in there.

Pale gold colour. The nose shows medium intensity aromas of lemon peel, fennel, yeast and green apple.
The wine is dry in the mouth with a medium acidity. It has a medium+ alcohol and a medium+ body with an oily texture. It has medium+ intensity flavours and a medium+ finish.
It is a very good quality wine. It has a persistent finish and a decent fruit concentration in balance with the alcohol. However it could be more aromatic and complex.
