Let me start by saying that I am not a Davis Bynum fan. This wine is very different than the other Bynums I have had. Easy nose, not much to speak of. Very smooth tannins that are silk like and glide on your tongue. Not fruit forward but loaded with strong dark fruit and over ripe plum jam flavors (very jammy) that are followed by lots of smoke and oak. The finish is very short with a lingering taste of oak. This was actually enjoyable and I plan on having my next bottle soon as this wine is it it's prime.
