  Now firmly in its drinking window this shows great fruit with blackcurrants dominant. Some maturity but still quite energetic. Good depth, some complexity and minerals. Medium finish. Nice.

  Seems this finally blossomed. On previous occations I've found it a bit austere and tart, but now it puts on quite a show. Lots of sweet, ripe fruit with cassis dominant. Good spice, some vanilla. Medium body, medium acid keeping things fresh. Good length to the spicy, slightly warm but energetic finish. Very nice. The old rule of 10 years in the cellar still holds true, at least for this wine.

  Quite a lot of deposits so it needs decanting and some air. It was also rather brown and mature, maybe a bit too old... It had become slightly acidic, and not really as I remember it in the first years. Not too bad though.

  very smooth, initial notes of cherry and mint (menthol?) almost like cherry Halls, the finish was long and nicely lingering. The balance was good.
