  • The last bottle in a case. Balanced, drinking well now. Mineral and dark fruit on the nose and palate. Sufficient tannin to go longer, I am unsure whether it will develop additional complexity. This bottle was quite similar to a bottle last November.

  • Delicious wine. Initially blackberry fruit, mineral and tar on the finish. Great QPR for $15 with free shipping. We had this with grilled lamb and stuffing. Was just an ok pairing. Wish We had gotten the 6 bottles we ordered, instead of just 1.

  • This is drinking quite well with a half hour decant. Tastes like a fleshy bordeaux, very unlike its showing when young. Has sufficient tannin to go longer, but i'm not sure it will improve much

  • This has been a fascinating wine to watch since delivery. What started as a soft fruit bomb began to show more structure and minerality a year or so after release. This bottle showed boatloads of the latter, and almost none of the former. Tannins were fairly pronounced, particularly after a few hours of being open. For my taste, the more balance of fruit and mineral it showed a year and a half or so ago was infinitely more interesting than this bottle. It has not yet developed a lot of bottle boquet, or complex, mature bordeaux flavors. Try again in a couple years.

  • this bottle showed the strong minerality I have come to associate with this wine. After a couple hours, it did become more tannic than I'd remembered other bottles being The structure the wine shows continues to amaze me, as on release it seemed a borderline flabby fruite bomb.
