Light yellow greenish color, quite mute on the nose after opening, needs air to unfold: wet stones, sea shells, lots of lemon, still young. 2014 is a great and serious year in Chablis which needs time, upward potential.

Visiting London, Galway, Dublin and Paris; 9/14/2019-9/29/2019 (England, Ireland and France): This straw-colored wine is sourced from vines averaging fifty years of age, grown in Kimmeridgien limestone marl. Now with a few years of cellaring, it is a gorgeous Chablis that is just hitting its stride. Laden with citrus, stone fruits, honeysuckle and chalky minerality, it is medium-bodied, has vibrant acidity, seamless alcohol (12.5%) and subtle notes of oak. Layered and dense on the middle palate, it forges on to a lengthy, energetic finish. This delicious Chardonnay should provide pleasure throughout the next decade. Drink now-2030.
