Wow. Tar and Cherry; pretty strong tannins; somewhat acidic base. I've never had a Merlot (with a touch of Cabernet) that showed this much tar. Almost like an aging Borolo, except that this Merlot is more primary. If you're sensitive to tannin and you don't like the tar you'll hate this wine. But, I find this an exciting experience.

Dark garnet and cherry nose. First sips were a little hot but after about 30 minutes in the glass this wine really came together. Restrained oak and decent balance of tannins and acid. Drank rather nicely when paired with steak. Good QPR for a restaurant..
