Fabulous Fiano, this thoroughbred is in full stride and as good as any Fiano I have had from Italy. Marries the pear and honeysuckle-hazelnut character of Fiano from the vineyards of Alta Irpinia in Campania with the intensity and saline minerality of west Paso Robles vineyards.
Healthy gold tints. Solid structure augurs well for a deepening maturity. Medium to full bodied in the mouth, and a lifted saturated finish. Brilliant wine, a mouthful of fruit and complexity, blows most CA Chardonnays out of the water.

Capable of further development. Kept coming back to it throughout the evening. The Vinous note characterizes this wine well: "fresh melon, ginger, nervy on the palate, with honeydew and orchard fruit flavors and a bracing, refreshingly bitter jolt of citrus zest."

Pretty and fun... nose of air dried cotton with an oxymoronic juicy lanolin character and a ever so light green pepper. All in all delicious. There's a mineral core to the wine that seems a bit awkward, leaving a subtle bitterness in the finish. I wish there were more whites from Paso like this clocking in at 13.3%.
