  it feels strange to complain about a wine for a lack of rusticity and having more polish, but that is what I feel! I've drunk a few vintages of this wine and this is, to me, the least enjoyable. I loved the edges and spikiness of the others and this wine just feels 'safe'.
  it is almost certainly personal preference and I can imagine many people preferring this style to the previous years. Not me
