Oh that wonderful Chambolle-Musigny roundness! This had it in spades. Medium weight, subtly interesting, impeccable balance and length. Not anything that "leaps from the glass," but rather a wine to sip and contemplate. Everything is so integrated that some attention is needed, or it will just slip by you. But if you do pay attention, the rewards are there. Didn't seem to change at all over three days under N2.

Pretty meh bottle. Low acid, not much tannin, not much energy in general. Lower-register red fruit. Not my style. Contrast with a recent B. Clair 2014 "Veroilles" that was singing.
Acquired on release, the bottle was not mistreated at any time.

Ordered in a Restaurant, which is usually not the best thing to do with a young wine. It would have needed hours of air. It was very closed and didn't show, what it probably will in a few years.

De Chambolle à Morey - Grands Jours de Bourgogne: Tasting, brief note. Best nose of the lineup with ripe fruit, floral and spice hints. Good fruit concentration but with a backward character that isn't helped by the firm structure. Again give this a decade+ in the cellar, but 90 point potential here.

Surprisingly dark red fruits, low acidity and medium body. Integrated oak and medium finish. Decent wine at its price point.
