  Caol Ila, Stitchell Reserve, "Unpeated Style", Natural Cask Strenght, Botteld 2013, Limited Edition, Bottles no. (unkown, but on the box it says "Small Batch", but I do not think so, since it is very widely available), 59.6%.

  Some say it is 12 Years Old and others report dramatic changes after opening.
  The eighth (socalled, since it has peat, but lesser than in the standard Caol Ila's) "unpeated" Caol Ila single malt from Diageo's Special Releases is taken from refill American Oak, rejuvenated American Oak and ex-bodega European Oak casks and is to celebrate Billy Stitchell’s pension after nearly 40 years at the distillery ofwhich the last 15 years as the distillery manager and he was following in the footsteps of four previous generations of his family, which in total worked for over 130 years at the distillery.
  This year it's been bottled without an age statement and despite being 'unpeated' there's a definite smoky tang to the whisky, although less so than in previous years.
  TN: It is one of my favourites in all-days very good dram.
  You can have it CS or with water.
  Very clean, not hugely complex or very great length, but very enjoyable.
