  Opened one hour in advance. Rich cherry and menthol aroma. Tart, edgy flavors of cherry and fresh leather. Earthy, powdery, drying tannic finish.
  
  Strong tannins, robust fruit. This still tastes quite young. Assuming the tannins resolve before the fruit dies, this should be great in a few years. If that doesn't happen, I'm glad I had this bottle now.

  Popped and poured. Composite cork. Rich aroma of spicy black fruit. Rustic, but restrained, flavors of earth, cherry, leaf. The finish starts with fruity berry notes and ends with mouth drying cocoa. Pure flavors, simple on the surface but with a lot going on underneath. Fabulous wine, fabulous value.
