This may be my new favorite Cali Cab at this price point. Very good with food or on its own. Decanted for an hour. Tannins present but not pushy. Complex and smooth with a long finish.

Day 1 this took quite a while to open up, but it was nice after that. Cassis, blackberry, plum, and a pleasant astringency. Long-ish finish.
Several days later, after being corked back up on the counter. More plummy, even moving toward prune by the end of the bottle. Surprisingly toward the dried fruit spectrum, actually. Otherwise it was more open and complete and complex the second day.

Lots of fruit, but with some notes of brined green olives and salt. On initial P&P it was pretty low on tannin, but that certainly came out after a few hours of breathing. Since this is a bigger wine, the group thought it was better paired with food. Great bottle from Clark!

Quite good, but contrary to Clark's suggestions, this is still a bit young for me. Fairly tannic, took quite a while to open up. Either give it a couple years or a long decant.
