  • This older brother of the Particular Garnacha Viñas Viejas brings out the best of this wine. The pleasant, soothing smoothness of the garnacha grape manifests itself both in the deep dark-fruit aroma as well as the taste that becomes lively in the mouth after a short while, providing a full flavor of blueberries with a hint of pepper, and staying for a good while after. This wine still has solid aging potential, can't wait to try it again in a few years.

  • Once again at the BA lounge, LHR. Not sure how freshly opened this was.
Probably a wine that BA bought the whole production but good for us as we try this once a year or so ( Papies 88-89) and currently we found it at its best. Smoother, less obvious, softer and more elegant. Soft fruit, light earthy feel. Very good 90-91 and happy to see its ageing potential.

  • Nice extracted blackberry, simple, earthy, a little peppery.

  • By the glass a the BA lounge,LHR. On the freshly opened side.Labelled vinas centenarias but CT does not allow to add it as such.
A year since we tried it last ( Papies 89) and happy to crosspaths again . It's an interesting wine in the sense that it start to feel like it's pushed and overdone on the ripe side but never really gets there. Nice expression, has a purity to it and granted at times a bit brash but never bad. 88-89

  • By the glass a the BA lounge. Fresh bottle. Labelled vinas centenarias but CT does not allow to add it as such.
Well round and balanced wine, good ripe fruit but restrained and in good harmony. Light dark fruit on the nose but really this wine is silky and balanced and albeit not the most layered or complex really delivers a very good experience. 89-90 and ready now
