It’s been a consistent wine for me and after having had it multiple times three years ago fun to check in again. Initially the winemaking signature seems a bit more in the background but it reverts to what I remembered quickly with 20 minutes of air. The nose just such sexy oak framed dark berries with a rose kiss, intoxicating! The attack on the palate is more mineral than years ago, slightly brooding but open enough to be fully enjoyed now. I wonder where this wine goes from here. Given my last bottle I might not be able to testify to it.

Once in a lifetime experience being gifted a small glass of this after it had been opened two days prior...
I now understand why the wines from CLB can demand such high prices, but if they're worth the money is hard for a mortal like me to conclude. It's the best red wine I've ever tasted, but the ones just below this has cost me 10-20 times less than this bottle does on auction...
The wine is so freaking elegant, weightless and ethereal while there's also a depth, power and complexity present. There's a core of fruit with wild raspberry, sour cherry and wild blackberry accompanied by a minerality I've never experienced in a red wine before. This is perfectly balanced with the oak usage giving it structure, weight and a sexy coffee touch together with sous bois notes. The finish of sour cherry and coffee feels like it stays in the mouth for an eternity.

Dark cerise. Mature, red fruited, complex spicy sous bois nose which is quite youthfully concentrated and feminine. Palate seems structurally resolved, weightless, again a beautiful, feminine, youthful and primary yet seemingly mature, more Vosne or Chambolle-like red fruited, complex spice, lithe, lacy textured mineral wine. Popped and poured and in the zone at a surprisingly young age? Very nice indeed!
