Dinner w/ Friends (NW Suburbs Chicago): Beautiful golden color betraying its age. Merryvale achieves abundant acidity in their Chards which allow them to age gracefully and this wine was no exception. Clean white fruit of pear and peach with a hint of spice and oak. Flavors carry well thorough the mid-palate creating a nice, rich mouthfeel. Long, lingering finish.

A very young Chardonnay. It has great potential, and was good now, but will be much better in a few years. Toasty oak finish; bright tropical flower flavors and smell.
