Although having a expressive fruit-forward nose, on the palate, I found this wine to be quite balanced. The fruit did not overpower the fine tannin and acidity, yielding a long exciting finish. On the day after the bottle was opened, the wine was even more integrated and balanced. Great paired with a rib eye steak at Ruth's Chris.

A big step up in quality and complexity from the single vineyard cabs we tasted at the winery--of course the others were of recent vintage. Excellent drinking right now.

Stunning Dark Ruby with oak, cassis, blueberry on the nose. On the palate, dark fruits, vanilla, mocha, rich raspberry and a hint of plum. Lush mouth feel, well balanced tannin with smooth oak afternotes. Simply elegant, VERY special. Pine Ridge's BEST effort, can still develop for a few years, but well within its drinking window. Paired with Prime Filet, red wine reduction, brought it to a new level.

This wine is amazing. My wife and I have had 3 bottles of this and can't imagine how they could improve this. Spotswoode has nothing on this. Concentrated dark fruit nose, explosive mouthful of glycerin, dark currants, slightly over-ripe blackberry, and chocolatey tannins mid-palate to a long, long finish. Wow! Don't know how a Napa Cabernet could be any better. Game-on. Who knows of a better Napa cab than this?
