Beautiful red and black fruit, with dried herbs. Restrained for a Napa cab, in the best possible way. Perhaps my favorite of the Ehlers portfolio, including the 1886.

Opened my first 2013. 30 minutes was all I could wait! Good structure, still closed. Body seems a little lighter than previous vintages. 90 minutes in, it's still seems to be closed and lean. It may need a little more time to open up. I'll wait for at least a year to open the next bottle. I have four more and several previous vintages. So I won't be deprived of my favorite Cabernet! There is dark fruits and a bit of leather in the aroma. The fruit comes through in tasting with a good finish.

This wine had a deep red color and great legs. Could immediately taste the chocolate along with the strong tannins. This one of six bottles I purchased, and will keep them in my cellar for at least two years before I try another bottle as this wine is young.

Excellent. Drinking well without a decant, and should continue to show well over the next several years.

45 minute decant. Drinking well; fruit still prominent (as expected), but nice balance. Will continue to get better for years.
