Held up well. Aroma, flavor and finish consistent with a pleasant Pinot. Would have confidence in this producer if I run into again (was my only bottle....).

This is a second independent review of the 2014 vintage, Central Coast (3 reviews in all); light red/brown, the one is fruit forward, tasted at ca 14 degrees C; interesting balance of fruit & tannins; notes of citrus, berries, especially blackberries, & prunes; slight trace of bitterness [which before I had probably interpreted as mint or menthol] in the medium finish; pair with wild-caught Coho salmon or Chilean sea bass grilled on a cedar board; the best of the Wild Horse managerie

an independent evaluation of this same wine and vintage which I tasted on 4/18/2017 (originally rated at 86 points, current rating is 91, averaging 88.5; I hadn't detected the mint component before); this is a very pleasant Pinot, 13.5% alcohol, composition cork, medium weight foil, long legs, nose of earth & citrus; tasting reveals earth, stone fruit, raspberries, blackberries, peppermint, spearmint, basel, even slight hint of menthol; nice medium finish; interesting balance of fruit/mint/tannins

Soft tannins, raspberries, and black cherries. Mild Acidity, soft mouth-feel. Enjoyed with Roasted Chicken Risotto, Yes, I know that white would have been the preferred wine of choice! Deal with it.

Dark fruited, rich, herbal; cherry cola, chocolate, lingering sourness. Full body, soft medium tannin, med acid. While I prefer more red fruit and higher toned, lower-oaked Pinot, this is not bad for the money, certainly, in the richer, higher oak, black-fruit style.
