Opened 30 minutes before tasting. Blacker in the glass than I'm used to for a Willamette pinot, but clear, not inky. A bit overextracted and understructured. Hardly bad, but underperforms for the price.

Had the Revana cab, figured I should try the Alexana Pinot. This Pinot was perfect on this Texas patio evening. Very refreshing. Without a doubt, this needs to be served slightly more chilled than others. Gorgeous red fruits splash the tongue...strawberry, cloudberries, lingonberries (all those cold weather fruits). Great integration of funky earthiness and herbs. Very small Spice on the backend, but not peppery.

Grilled pork chops and peppers. You can enjoy it now because it is excellent. But it will definitely stay for at least a few more years.
