AD Blind Tasting - Plum red color. Pretty nose, slightly robust. Sweet fruit, with hardly any tannins. Light acidity. Nothing of interest here, but easy drinking. A down and in you wine. Thought this was maybe an American Syrah blend, and I rated in the 84-85 range. However, if I bought this, I would be pretty disapointed, b/c it doesn't have the pinot characteristics I would expect. Based on this, will put it in the 82-85 range.

AD Co. Tasting w/Bloechl (Brown Jug-Upstairs): Opaque black cherry colour. Nose of baked black cherries and plums. Simple palate of blackberries, cherries, with mild acidity on the finish and soft tannins. I guessed a domestic Syrah blend. It's fine as a wine in general, but as a Pinot Noir, it lacks varietal characteristics, and I would never have guessed it as so.

dense jammy zinlike color and body, lighter and more pinot noir like on the palate than it looked. still -- dense simple fruit forward.
