  Opened 8 hours prior and decanted for 1 hour. Before decanting it was a bit furry After tannins laid down. Great complexity with fruit spice and earthy notes. Got better through dinner Try again in a few months and decant for 2 hours.

  Light to medium color; no red bricking at edge; medium amount of dark red fruit aroma; medium body; acidic with tart red cherry & charcoal flavors; tannis still present; long lingering flavors. Medium complexity. Wanting more sweet red cherry flavor throughout. Somewhat disappointing. Will wait another year or two before next bottle. Currently assessing that this wine was not worth the price paid. Will see..
  
  NEXT DAY: Wow, was I wrong on my assessment of this wine. Much improved on day 2. Sweet fruit present. Rude/Harsh components are gone. Increasing score from 87 to 90. Maybe a strong indication that this wine needs more time..
