  “Discover California’s Wines”, Wine 13 (non-blind): From magnum. The wine was medium to dark ruby in colour and offered red fruit, blackberry and pepper on the nose. On the palate the wine showed sweet red fruit, blackberry, spices, pepper, liquorice and ethereal notes, with medium to medium-plus acidity, ripe medium-plus tannin and very good length. The balanced, medium- to full-bodied wine drank very well. Most of us, including me, liked it quite a bit.
