This was very good, a relatively robust 2014 that still shows the vintage delicacy. Great balance with red fruit character just beginning to lose some of it's primary-ness. I brought this home from Beaune which maybe added to the scintillating energy in this bottle.

Burg village blinds. Drank in Conterno Sensory. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of youthful dark red fruits, dark red spice, black cherries, dense brambly foliage, some buried iron earth. Developing. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium+ alcohol, structured fine medium+ tannins, medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of dark spice, dark red cherries, black cherries, licorice, spiced woody oak, hints of iron and earth. Mouth-filling long finish. Very good quality. Serious wine I was thinking it was a 2018! Turns out to be Lignier 2014 instead. This is built to last.

Delicious wine filled with dark fruits, floral notes, and spices. Took a while to open up,p but when it did, it had the marks of Lignier. A fantastic and well-made wine. It doesn't immediately bring me to Gevrey-Chambertin, but it's damn good.

Bright ruby. Lively nose of red fruit and earth accompanies oak-derived cedar. Energetic on the palate, lively red fruit alongside more oak, lightweight body with forward flavors. Drink starting 2019.
