Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • pale yellow color, lush creamy nose, limes with subtle white minerals, on the palate nicely fat- creamy lime fruit, pear notes, great length, this should develop nicely in the short term but is ready to drink for the most part, the only nit is that is comes off a tad hollow on the tail end- not on the mid-palate but in the front part of the finish costing it a bit in the persistence department, that said- I enjoyed this very much, Sauzet is one of the great masters of lusty, yeasty, full throttle white burgundies, and their Bourgogne plus these 1er crus from less famed vineyards really rise above their supposed stations- and from a cost perspective this is as good a deal as you will find for that style. ***, ready to drink but no rush.
