  • 100% Marsanne, fermented on indigenous yeasts. Aged mainly in stainless steel with a small part aged in oak barrels. 13,5% alcohol.

Pale lime green color. Aromatic yet somewhat delicate nose with aromas of ripe red apples, some sweet citrus fruits, a little bit of apricots and a perfumed hint of fragrant summer meadow flowers. The wine feels full-bodied, moderately oily and somewhat ponderous, yet also nicely fresh on the palate with acidity that at first is masked by the body, but which slowly cuts through - in the end the wine feels rather high in acidity with good structure. There are pure flavors of white flowers, very ripe red apples, some almond tones, a little bit of turmeric-driven spice and a hint of stony minerality. The finish is fresh and vibrant with somewhat oily mouthfeel that turns more crisp towards the end. There are ripe and lengthy flavors of freshly picked apples, some quince, a little bit of savory spice, hints of stony minerality and a touch of slivered almonds in the aftertaste.

A very balanced and harmonious example of white Northern Rhône with a lovely rollercoaster of flavors: at first the wine feels quite plump, rich and fruit-driven, but it gets drier, leaner and more mineral towards the end of the aftertaste. Overall the wine seems to be higher in acidity than it initially comes across as. Beautiful purity and elegance here, I have no doubt that the wine could develop beneficially at least for 4-6 years more. Great value at 16,95€.

  • 100% Marsanne, fermented on indigenous yeasts. Aged mainly in stainless steel with a small part aged in oak barrels. 13,5% alcohol.

Pale lime green color. Open, perfumed nose with aromas of ripe white peach, summer meadow flowers, some savory exotic spices, a little bit of apricot, a hint of apple and a subtly spicy and perhaps gently oxidative hint of old wood. The wine is medium-to-moderately full-bodied, bright and slightly oily on the palate with ripe and somewhat concentrated flavors of honeydew melon, ripe golden apples, some savory and earthy exotic spices, a little bit of bruised apple, light floral tones, a hint of stony minerality and a touch of herbal and vaguely grainy pilsner character. The wine feels medium-to-moderately high in acidity at first, but the acid structure slowly grows in power, becoming unmasked by the oily body. The finish is ripe, very long and lively with concentrated yet relatively savory characteristics of cantaloupe, red apples, earthy spices, some stony minerality, a little bit of honeyed richness, a hint of herbal spice and a touch of yellow summer flowers.

A very lovely, fresh and focused Northern Rhône white with a lot of depth and character. At first the wine comes across noticeably weightier and oilier than it actually is, letting the concentrated fruit tones hit the mouth first and letting the acidity step in on the backbeat. Very lovely and well-made effort that is drinking wonderfully this young but shows good potential for future development. Most likely will need another 4-8 years to hit its plateau of maturity. Expect the score to go up with age.
