An airborne dinner (British Airways flight BA0005, LHR-NRT): Classic Speyside character, malty and mild, heather and a hint of peat, spices and flowers, lovely balance between youthful energy and the gentleness of age, nice touch of cocoa on the palate, good precision and complexity, good length, no back-end heat. Actually very good.

Served neat at the BA lounge.
Soft, mellow, light caramel touches, lightest touch of a smoky feel. Elegant and lovely to sip at leasure. Very nice

An airborne dinner (British Airways flight BA0115, London Heathrow - New York JFK): Amber golden colour; fresh and heathery nose, note of peat; lissom palate, light flavours, fruit and a touch of chocolate; good length.
