ESTG does Blind Triples (Newcastle, WA): Some creaminess, seems New World-ish, Semillon character, oak, rich, a bit heavy. This actually improved considerably with time in the glass.

The nose on this was wild, with toms of flint, cat pee, sea salt. The salinity is there on the palate as well, which is highly concentrated and balanced by nice acidity. Not your average white Bordeaux. On the younger side in terms of window.

Light hay color . Lemon mineral water on the nose. Sweet tartic acid notes on a sweet plaintain, quince, gooseberry, and cumquat background. Excellent.

Vivid, glowing yellow-green. Pineapple husk dominates the nose with some guava. Notes of barely-sweet pineapple and passion fruit with a bit of sour guava. Aggressive acids on a fairly weighty body, it stays with you for minutes after you drink it. Somewhat New Worldish in style. Tasty, albeit kind of a summer style taste-wise that would drink better in winter body and structure-wise. I don’t think I’ve run across such a tropical profile in a Bordeaux-Blanc before.
