Cork soaked only 1/5th up but broke when removal was attempted. Not sure of the provenance of this bottle - my dad had it the entire time but it was uncellared in a garage for several years. In any case, this was completely gone. Smelled somewhat port-like, but there was no fruit and very little secondary flavor at all. Nothing horribly offensive, but nothing to enjoy either.
On a TWA flight to St. Louis on the Sabreliner case. Medium ruby. Pleasant, soft nose, with some oak. Good flavor, with spicy oak. Light-medium body, good balance. 5-9-14-5: 83/100.

Showing well. Drink now. Primary dark fruit starting to fade but has secondary flavors such as leather and tobacco. Nice drink
