Wow! My first experience with Miner Family and I gotta say I am a believer. Opened an hour before bringing it to my favorite restaurant, Citricos in Bradley Beach, where I bring all my best bottles.
This burst forth with deep, savory, black fruit, slight cinnamon and nutmeg, and forest floor. From there I was taken on a journey of flavors including strong oak, a hint of cassis, intermittent blueberry, and so much more. For a moment I thought I could taste the sunshine. It was smooth too, like drinking water after being thirsty for hours. Fantastic bottle! Need to find more.

great deep fruit and forest floor nose; took about 30min to open up; mixed currant fruit with nice sweet and tart combo; some pomegranate and mineral; oak is well integrated; medium body; good length; not terribly complex but in a good place right now.

Is it the vintage? The winemaker? The vineyard? Well, this wine has performed well over the years, but never as well as tonight. This 1999 has been cellared for a year after purchase from a quality retailer, and is in top form right now. Gorgeous dark ruby claret, but no brick or tile -- it seems to be simply perfect. This is all about the great - make that spectacular - fruit. Full bodied, sweet and utterly gorgeous mouthfeel, silky tannins on a strong cedary frame, with great balance. Very long, and enticing you to return for more. And more. At $50-60 it is a California trophy. PS -- this is the OAKVILLE Cabernet

Excellent wine with more time left to enjoy. The full case went at my friends wedding, was too hard to drink the 'other' stuff once this case went ...

Absolutely wonderful. Great riight out of the bottle with a big Napa nose and taste. Got better with some air but no more than 1hr.
