The Wines of New York State (LIWSF, London): 12.5% This is very pale – almost looking like a rosé. It has a fairly oaky, more evolved nose than the Lakewood pinot noir. It’s also a tiny bit high toned. Good palate, showing oak influence, but it has a nice balance. Very Good.

Light garnet in color. Could pass for a rose. Cloudy with a hint of amber at the edge. Primary sensation on tasting is tart acid, followed by strawberry/rhubarb fruit (like the pie I just had!) Lacks any sense of complexity, more like tart fruit juice. Wouldn't pass for a pinot from anywhere making world class wine.
