Medium ruby. Balanced, quite dense, dark, rather structured. Still surprisingly primary, not showing much in the way of secondary characteristics. Enjoyable enough over three nights. I agree with others below — expensive for what it is.

Concentrated and dense fruit, mostly berry but some Victoria plum as well. Quite spicy, even ferrous at times, with some burnt citrus rind. This is quite tannic, impressive structure, and clearly quite young. There are quite a few Pommard clones in FR plantings and that style shows here. Like other FR wines, not particularly good value though.

Just hard to justify the price. The more I have Fort Ross PN, the more I am concerned about the ageability of their wines. The QPR is lousy. There are so many better wines for the price.

Nice, clean PN. Characteristic of the AVA. Not at all sure it is work the $68 at retail.

Typical Sonoma pinot with cherry and earth, light tannins/acid, agree a poor qpr.
