Blood red, bricking at rim; lead pencil, leafy, red pastilles, smokey; fruit faded, acid to fore, fraught, yet some appeal; austere finish. Better with food. Drink up.

Much better than the last one, with ripe red berries and decent length, very enjoyable with a summer magret, but with the exception so far of the 2017, I don’t find La Petite Cave to be as impressive as their other top cuvées.

Garnet; brett, tannate, cheese rind; red fruits, ripe, angular, herbaceous; attenuated finish. Best to drink up : this started well but became disjointed.

Probably a bad patch, but this was good without being anything special. The red berried fruit was slightly marred by brett and there was a lack of depth which I hadn't expected. Not the best YA I've had.

Complex nose of red berries, pepper, liquorice. Expressive palate, with dark fruit, sous-bois, leather, trufflle, plum and spices. Acidity still present in the finish. This wine will certainly further improve wih time, but it proved already to be a good pairing with our swiss raclette.
