  • Open in the bottle (not decanted) for like four hours. As you might expect for a wine from Auxey *and* the 2005 vintage, this thing is harder than a coffin nail. It has promise though, it is getting a bit friendlier with the air time, and there are definitely some ripeness, red and black berries, minty herbs, and something a little earthy (more like a hardware store than a forest though). It probably isn’t ever going to win any beauty pageants but it will have its time and place. Probably in 10 years : P
